The Board of Weststar Associates Limited, Nigeria’s Authorized General Distributor for Mercedes-Benz, has appointed Mirko Plath as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Mrs Mary Aderinola Ojulari as Managing Director.
Mary Aderiola Ojulari is the newest and first black female to head an Automotive Concern of such magnitude, and also first in Weststar Associates Nigeria , owners of the premium franchise – Mercedes-Benz brand in Nigeria. Weststar is the sole Authorised General Distributor for Mercedes-Benz in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Weststar coordinates the entire Daimler AG‘s business activities in Nigeria including Sales, Dealer Support, Network Development, Fleet Management Support, After-Sales Services, Warranties, Marketing, Corporate affairs, Technical and Non-Technical Trainings, and the Assembly Plant for Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles.
Until her appointment Ojulari was the first-ever Deputy Managing Director/Chief Finance Officer.

before joining Weststar in 2017, where she currently works.
As the new Managing Director, she will provide leadership for strategic direction, revenue and profit for Commercial and Passengers Vehicles for Mercedes-Benz Nigeria. Special focus on cash flow optimization for capital intensive projects for expansion and the Mercedes-Benz truck business in Nigeria.
Mary holds a degree in Accounting and Finance from London South Bank University and became a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (“ACCA”), London in 2003. She became a Fellow of ACCA in 2008 and has earned several Human Resources certificates from the Lagos Business School.
It is in recognition of her contribution to national development in the field of Accounting and Financial Management that Mary Aderinola Ojulari was deemed worthy to be conferred with the Woman of Merit Gold Award which is part of the PSR National Awards.
